Creditnet's Full Review

The First Access VISA® Credit Card is an unsecured credit card for consumers who need to rebuild their credit.  Beware that this card has a lot of fees, and there's no way to get around them.  There's a setup fee, an annual fee, and even a monthly service fee beginning in the second year.  However, if you are getting denied for every credit card you apply for, you may have a much better chance at getting approved for The First Access VISA® Credit Card.  And if you use the card wisely, carry a low balance, and always pay your bill on time and in full, you should see improvement in your credit scores after 6 or so months and can move on to a bigger and better unsecured credit card.

Favorite Card Features:

Interest is not charged on purchases if you pay your balance in full by the due date each month.  The due date will be a minimum of 21 days after the close of each billing cycle.

Least Favorite Features:

There are lots of fees.  The total for year one is $154, plus they charge $29 for additional cards.  In addition, the $75 annual fee reduces your $300 starting credit limit to $225, which is never ideal.

Our Final Take:

Let's face it, there really aren't any great unsecured credit cards for bad credit.  But everyone needs to start rebuilding their credit somewhere!  The First Access VISA® Credit Card has hefty fees, but your payment history will be reported to all three major credit bureaus and you can begin rebuilding your credit history today.  Keep your balances low, pay in full and on time, and watch your credit scores rise!
