Under 21? New Rules Limit Access to Credit

New credit card regulations set to take effect in early 2010 will make it more difficult for young adults to gain access to credit. This is an important issue for those moving out of the house for the first time or heading off to college without their own solid credit history.

So, if you haven't started learning about how credit works or building your own credit score, you may want to begin the process now before the new rules make things more difficult. Don't forget, the Real world requires Real credit. Isn't it about time you got some Creditcents?

First, determine your "Credit GPA" by reading a short article about credit and taking our 5-question quiz. Next, if you're currently a student, be sure to complete an online entry form for a chance to win $500 towards tuition and book expenses from Creditnet.com. Entrants who apply for a new student credit card and are approved by the credit issuer will receive an additional entry into the sweepstakes.
