Credit Reports May Be Accessed Without Your Permission

It's a common myth to believe that your credit reports can only be accessed with your exclusive permission. Click here to read them all in detail.

Some of the reasons you might not be familiar with are as follows:

  • Credit reports and credit scores may be accessed to determine your ability to pay child support
  • Current lenders can periodically pull your credit reports for account reviews
  • Lenders or debt collectors may pull your credit reports for the purpose of collecting an unpaid debt
  • Insurance companies may use your credit reports to determine your insurance premiums and eligibility for certain products
