Ask Creditnet: The Best Travel Rewards Business Credit Card

Dear Creditnet: I have 3 small businesses, and I'm looking for the best travel rewards business credit card to rack up miles. The balances are expected to be paid in full each month with a balance of around $5,000 per card.  What card do you recommend and why?

Answer: If you're strictly interested in "travel rewards" business cards, the Capital One® SparkSM Miles Card is the best option on the market right now. You'll not only get 2 miles for every dollar spent (this is the best you'll find anywhere), but you also have the opportunity to 15,000 bonus miles for each card during the first year.

You'll earn an initial 10,000 mile bonus after spending $1,000 during the first 3 months.  You can then receive an extra 5,000 bonus miles after adding one employee as an authorized user on your account. There is a $59 annual fee, but Capital One actually waives the annual fee for the first year so it's at least worth giving the card a try to see if you like it.

Furthermore, the Capital One Spark Miles Card doesn't charge foreign exchange fees, which is an especially nice perk to have if you travel overseas often.  You'll be saving 3% on everything you charge overseas, while enjoying a 2% reward at the same time.  Who doesn't want to save 5% on everything they spend when traveling?  It really adds up fast! If you plan to spend about $5K per month on each card, you could potentially rack up over 400,000 miles during the first year alone. Those miles will be worth $4,000 in airfare, which is an amazing deal considering you won't be paying an annual fee to obtain them. Redeeming rewards is simple too, which is what we like most about Capital One's business cards.  Find a ticket, buy it, and then redeem your miles to get reimbursed for the cost.  It's quite simple.

Other travel rewards credit cards can become much more complicated when redeeming miles, and the last thing any small business owner needs in their life is more complexity, right? If this card sounds like it would be a good fit for your business needs, consider applying for the Capital One® SparkSM Miles Card today.
