People who visited a comedy club in Georgia should be aware that the establishment may have accidentally leaked their personal information online.

According to a report from the Columbus, Georgia, television station WTVM, dozens of people that used their credit card to buy tickets to the Loft and Comedy Club in that city's downtown district between 2004 and 2008 had much of their personal information leaked online. The names, addresses, phone numbers and complete credit card information for 60 people were discovered on a cached website that was easily accessible to anyone that ran a Google search.

The club told the station that it was unsure how that information was posted online, and pulled down all its websites once it learned of the data security breach. The site with the material in question is now no longer accessible. However, the station said that it was impossible to tell how long the information had been online, and who saw it.

Businesses that leak customer credit card information are required by law to notify those that are affected by a data breach.
