Chase Southwest Airlines Card: New Limited-Time Offer Can Net You 2 Roundtrip Flights!

Update: This offer is no longer available - Last updated May 7, 2013.

For a limited-time only, the Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards® Premier Credit Card is offering cardholders two roundtrip flights after they spend $2,000 in the first three months of opening their account. (Government fees as low as $10 do not apply.) This isn't the first time Southwest has uses bonus points - in this case 50,000 - as an incentive, but it's one of the best deals they've ever offered and gives consumers in the market for an airline miles credit card an excellent option to consider.

Beyond the two roundtrip flights Southwest is offering, there are some other things we really like about this card. For instance, cardholders receive 6,000 points every year  after their Cardmember Anniversary, the equivalent of $100 in Wanna Get Away? fare. There's no intro period, but the ongoing APR is middle-of-the-road at a 15.24% variable on purchases and balance transfers.

Frequent Southwest fliers will like the double points per $1 spent that they can earn on Southwest Airlines® and AirTran Airways® purchases, and another point per dollar spend on all other purchases. The annual fee is $99, but considering you receive the equivalent of $100 in Southwest fare each Cardmember Anniversary it's a bit of a wash.

So if you're a regular on Southwest flights, you spend around $700 a month on your credit card and you have good credit, this is an excellent way to net some roundtrip flights quickly. It's simply one of the best credit card signup bonus offers available today, but remember - it's a limited time offer only and won't be around for long!
