Blue Cash Offers from AmEx Now Offering 15-Month Interest-Free Intro Periods

Yesterday, American Express announced some serious upgrade to their Blue series of credit cards, including the Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express, the Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express and the Blue Sky from American Express® offers.

New cardholders can now take advantage of zero percent interest for 15 months applied to both new purchases AND balance transfers. The new features make these cards competitive with some of the very best zero interest cash back credit cards on the market today. And considering that both the Blue Cash Everyday® Card and the Blue Sky from American Express® offers require no annual fee, suddenly these cards are that much more appealing to excellent credit consumers.

For details on each individual card, check out our quick summaries below and follow the "Apply" links for complete terms and conditions.

Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express

Currently our favorite credit card for gas and groceries, the Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express offers cardholders 6 percent cash back on up to $6,000 per year in purchases at US supermarkets, unlimited 3 percent cash back at US gas stations and select department stores, and 1 percent cash back on all other purchases.

There's an annual fee of $75, but considering the cash back one could accrue annually with this card - and the fact that that new cardholders pay no interest for 15 months on purchases and balance transfers - this is one annual fee that might be worth paying. Not only that, new cardholders earn 150 Reward Dollars after using their new card to make $1,000 in purchases within the first 3 months. That said, if you really want to avoid the annual fee, consider the card below...

Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express

One of the best no annual fee cards available, the Blue Cash Everyday® Card from American Express includes 3 percent cash back on up to $6,000 per year in purchases at US supermarkets, 2 percent cash back on US gas station purchases and at select US department stores, and 1 percent cash back on all other purchases.

You might notice that the bonus cash back is slightly less lucrative. That's because this card requires no annual fee to carry. The introductory period is the same at 15 months applied to purchases and balance transfers, and cardholders earn 100 Reward Dollars after using their new card to make $1,000 in purchases within the first 3 months.

Finally, if you're most interested in earning miles...

Blue Sky from American Express®

The Blue Sky from American Express® Card is for frequent flyers that love flexible travel options. There's a Welcome Bonus of 7,500 bonus Points after cardholders use their new card to make $1,000 in purchases within the first 3 months, the equivalent of a $100 statement credit.

There's no annual fee to carry this popular airline miles card, and the introductory period of zero interest for 15 months applies to new purchases and balance transfers.
